    Laser Seam Welding is a joining technique used to weld multiple pieces of metal through the use of a laser. A laser produces a beam of high-intensity light which is focused into a single spot to provide a concentrated heat source, allowing narrow, deep welds and high welding speeds.

    There are two ways of delivering the energy namely in short pulses or continuously. Depending on the application a choice is made between the two types. The process is both used in high and low volume applications, such as in the battery and medical industry.
